What You Should Know:
There are more than 40 different Internet Service Providers (ISPs) you can select to receive benefits through the ACP in DC. Not all ISPs offer the same things so you must read carefully to understand what you are getting.
For example, if an ISP is listed as “fixed,” internet benefits and broadband services are connected to your home, or at a single location. These include cable, fiber optic, DSL, and fixed wireless services – what you would think of as “traditional” internet. These services cannot be moved or travel with you to be used.
If an ISP is listed as “mobile”, broadband services are device-based (through a phone or tablet) and available throughout the service provider’s cellular coverage area, similar to cell phone services. This means you have access to internet services wherever you have your mobile device.
Some providers offer a combination of both.

You can find the list of participating providers at fcc.gov/ACP.
