Department of Aging and Community Living
The Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) serves District residents 60 and older, adults living with disabilities, and those who care for them. In partnership with more than 20 community-based organizations across the city, we offer more than 40 free or low-cost programs to help all District residents live boldly at any age, stage, or ability.
Department of Housing and Community Development
The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is the cabinet-level housing agency of the District of Columbia Government. The mission of DHCD is to create and preserve opportunities for affordable housing and economic development and to revitalize under-served communities in the District of Columbia.
District’s Workforce Investment Council
The District’s Workforce Investment Council (WIC) is a private-sector led board responsible for advising the Mayor, Council, and District government on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated and effective workforce investment system. Members of the WIC include representatives from the private sector, local business representatives, government officials, organized labor, youth community groups, and organizations with workforce investment experience.
Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs
Connection between District of Columbia Residents and the Executive office of the Mayor. Establishes partnerships with communities, conducts and coordinates events, town halls, forums, and projects in support of carrying forward mayoral initiatives at the community level. Serving as a liaison between the Mayor and community organizations, civic groups, and Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs). Manage and advise on the intersectional needs of community needs through the oversight of 13 community affairs offices.
Office of the Chief Technology Officer
The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is the central technology organization of the District of Columbia Government. OCTO's vision is to unleash the possible for DC in the digital age. The mission for OCTO is to empower DC government through technology by providing valued services, advising agencies, and collaboratively governing IT.
Office of the State Superintendent of Education
As DC’s state education agency, OSSE works urgently and purposefully, in partnership with education and related systems, to sustain, accelerate, and deepen progress for DC students. DC will close the achievement gap and ensure people of all ages and backgrounds are prepared to succeed in school and in life.
